Seen the “Dr. Sanjay Gupta gelatin recipe” trick video on Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, or somewhere else? I clicked through the whole thing and broke it down step by step.

In this video, I show how the ad promises a “secret” weight-loss recipe with a hidden ingredient… but never actually gives you the recipe. Instead, it pushes you through multiple pages: a fake medical-article-style page, a reworked video using Sanjay Gupta’s image, and then a checkout flow trying to sell you a supplement called Jelly Burn.

I also show the red flags:

* the “secret recipe” is never revealed
* the page is dressed up to look like a real health article
* major media logos are shown but don’t lead anywhere
* the fake Facebook-style comments don’t actually work
* the site is packed with trust badges, ratings, and seals with no proof behind them
* the checkout page piles on urgency, review scores, and buyer photos that look questionable
* the domain appears to be brand-new and privately registered

I also cover the bigger issue: the video appears to be built from real clips with altered audio and reworked narration, and Dr. Sanjay Gupta has publicly warned that scammers use AI deepfakes and fake endorsements to sell shady supplements and miracle-cure products.

So no, this so-called “Dr. Sanjay Gupta gelatin recipe” does not appear the way they claim. There’s no secret recipe waiting at the end. What you get instead is a hard sell for a questionable supplement.

If you’ve seen this ad, comment where it showed up for you — Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, or somewhere else.

“Based preloads can be a practical tool for bariatric patients who struggle with portion control,” says Sean Thompson, a Northampton-based dietitian with a 4.99-star rating across 385+ reviews. “But I always tell clients: the foundation is still protein-first meals and mindful eating. Think of the gelatin trick as training wheels, not the whole bike. And if you have kidney concerns, check with your doctor — excessive gelatin can be protein overkill.”
